ouch! dont think any distance behind a dump truck is a far enough distance. (hope you get that fixed quickly--windshield cracks are bad news).

I have some windshield repair kit coming soon. That should do it. Not worth replacing the entire windshield for a tiny chip.

It is almost 9pm here. And it is 86 out. Feels like 95...

Well I wanted to do it today. But it is too hot. Windshield has to be cool. Oh and no direct sunlight. Awesome, since there is no real shaded area here... I will get to it either Sunday or Monday, since I have Monday off.

Also found that I now have paint chips on the hood as well. Wonder if that same dump truck caused those...

I looked at it more closely today. I would say that more than likely that is what happened. The chips seem to have a direction to them. Like something hit and skidded a bit across the hood. So now I have to get paint and paint it...

Front? What front. 94 again today...

yeah, front...and LOTS of wind and rain...our driveway looks like a cyclone hit it with all the tree branches and acorns etc all over it. and its MUCH cooler (only upper 70's)

but my allergies are extreme today, my eyes have been watering the whole day and when I went out to check the car, I couldnt stop sneezing....think I will just stay in for a few days.

That front might push through today but with less of the wind and storms. It was only 68 out this morning and foggy. Still supposed to hit 90 today, but only 84 tomorrow or something. So ya.

Allergies are awful. I know I am definitely feeling them. They have been bad for me since about Thursday... Thank goodness for my nasal spray or I would be a lot worse off.

Well fixed the chip in my windshield, going today to get paint for the car and start on that long process. Yeehaw.

made the mistake of watching a cooking program last night...so I had to make ramen (not the 'instant' kind

)....the good japanese restaurant type..turned out pretty well (even made the broth with the heads of the shrimps and kombu seaweed).

front passed by--much cooler today, but the pollens are all VERY high.

Well it is cooler. 80 today, 81 yesterday. But supposed to be up to the high 80's again on Thursday and Friday... Sigh. Still no rain.

Pollen is still super high here. Not good for the allergies. But I am starting to feel a bit better. Thank goodness for that.

was very very nice today...had the door open until about 4pm (thats when it hit 80 in the condo), and then had to close up

(computers dont like heat).....and thats when my allergies started up again (think its time to get my ducts cleaned!)

It is 57 out right now. It only hit 80 yesterday and that was at like 3 or something. Was 61 out until like noon yesterday. Supposed to be 81 today. But 90's starting again soon...

Pumpkin beer is good for a change, but it's not an all the time beer. In general fall beers are good though.

I can express my lack of understanding of why people in the usa use ups instead of the usps....including the postal service delivering FIVE days a week (and if you tamper with the us mail its a FEDERAL offence)....not to mention the costs----

or why people dont seem to have enough stones to call people back and just send an impresonal email instead

Weather? Hot. Food? Good. Work? Work.

The government is just slow. Still waiting on the registration and plates for the car we bought 2 weeks ago... Hope it didn't get lost and that it was sent to the right address. Also wish there was a way to check...

Well wife might have strep. She doesn't want to go to a prompt care because it would be over $100 to do it since her insurance doesn't do copay. (High deductible Health Savings Account) So until they meet their deductible they have to pay everything out of pocket... This is why I like my $30 copay...

sorry to hear that (yeah, my hubby's insurance is like that too---our deductible is so high we have only ONCE reached it), there is some strep going around, hubby thought he had it too (some at his office), but after about 2-3 days of the bad sore throat, other cold symptoms appeared and yeap, good ole good instead (for this diagnosis we didnt need to pay $150)....

yes the government is slow (and plates take a LONG time--that is not the post offices' fault, they cant mail what they dont have)....and yeah, tracking is a good thing.

onto the regularly scheduled topics: weather, yes indeed another hot one today; food, went to a saturday market and got some FRESH veggies (the tomatoes have NO WAX on them!) and some nice bread for fiep (he wanted croissants, but they were all out by the time I got there); work?????
